QUESTION: When viewing the lessons, the sound is not clear. It almost sounds like the narrator is talking under water. Why?
ANSWER: Some settings on your computer may need adjustment.
SOLUTION: 1. Open the Control Panel. Here is how:
a. Click on the Start button. b. Move your mouse over "Settings", a window to the right of it opens up.
c. Click on "Control Panel" in that window. 2. Double click on "Multimedia" (If you have Windows Me, this would be labeled "Sounds and Multimedia").
3. Click on the Audio tab on the top. 4. In the playback section, click on the "Advanced" button (there are two of them, click on the top one).
5. Click on "Performance" tab on the upper middle. 6. Change "Hardware Acceleration" to the 2nd setting from the left (one to the right of "None").
7. Change "Sample Rate Conversion Quality" to the middle setting. 8. Click on "Apply" on the bottom right. 9. Click on "OK".
10. Click on "OK" or "Close", which ever is available. If the computer asks you whether you want to restart, say "Yes".
